I saw some of that weird fungus on sunday during my ride. It looks like it belongs on the ocean floor more than in the forest. Although, this time of year, the forest is almost as wet as the ocean!

The first picture almost looks like an oil painting!!! Look at the hindquarters and overall stance of PitManDog's PitDog.....beautiful...it could've been painted and hanging on the wall!

Don't know why my local woods were so quiet today, maybe it had something to do with the mist and thoughts of Halloween !!!

I also came across this weird fungi, anyone know what it is ?

Guide to Western Mushrooms by J.E.Underhill says that it's Clavaria flava or "Coral Fungi". There is no mention of its edibility. so......:barf:.....
