Critique my Folder Design, Please

Now that's something I like ! Sorry I can't send pictures or sketches. The only other suggestion I have is to extend the end of the bolsters. Great "makings" to you !!! Frank

If you have a scanner you can upload a scan of your sketch to photobucket. And copy/paste the img tags here. Thank you very much! You have been extremely helpful!

The truth is I enjoy helping people and yet always have received a helping return when doing this. I only make liner locks. I know this forum is fabulous for help and information but should you think I can help further, just ask. In the end, as you have heard many times, make what you want to make and that includes making what others may ask you to do if it suits you . Frank

I like helping people too, it is a nice feeling I think. And your slightly harsher choice of words in your first post was refreshing, as you rarely see honesty like that around here anymore. I mostly am asking for this help as my eye for design is not as well refined as a lot of the guys here, and I'm not very experienced in folder mechanisms.

Sure, that will certainly work. Now try using the same size but change the angle by turning the bolster over. Do you like it less or more? Frank

Agree with this (Frank's idea below). Another option, the line between the scale and bolster: consider slightly curving it so it mimics the the front edge of the bolster (see how that looks to the eye).
