Wow! I just looked and noticed that. A few hours ago it was still under $700.
When I was looking for the large I saw a few smalls for less than $700, but I'm not sure where. If you decide to get one, but can't find it let me know, and I'll try to find the one's i saw.

I saw a large and a small 2011 the other day for sale on some web site. I thought about getting the large, but i really just do not like the wood with the pins. I wouldn't mind having it for a collection piece, but there's just too many other knives i want....

I did see a few smalls this am. I looked after hearing the news of the annuals being discoed...they're 700+

In hand, the 2011 is more impressive versus seeing a picture of them. I love mine.
 
I felt the same way until I picked up a large one from Tom and all I can say is it's Perfect. The texture of the wood makes it grippy and that's a good thing for me, now I love it.

Congret to you all who have own the annuals as there be no more annual offer in 2012 and 2011 might be the last of the annual edition T_T
I wished I could have collect these earlier.
I only have 4 lrg and 2 sml so far.

Surely someone here has them all. I would also love to see them all in a group shot.

I think Lisa mentioned she hadn't gotten around to collecting all of the annuals yet. I didn't see her posting much yesterday, and I'm guessing she may have been busy hunting them down:p If anyone can find them all, Lisa can.
 
Thank you for the vote of confidence, but I don't plan on seeking them out.
They'll be fetching a premium now. I only have 3. Two 1999 and one 2004.

The ones I can find online are still $630 just like they have always been. Where was it announced that CR would no longer make these?

You sure were right about that. Mine just came in and I love the look and texture of the Wenge wood. The tiny pins in the slab also look much, much better than I thought they would, and is a nice addition to the knife IMO. I could not be happier with the way this one looks.
 
Ok, ok! i'm sold...everyone in here loves them, so i don't see why i wouldn't love it!

I'll try and do a picture for you when I get home about a week from now.
 
After owning and handling a 2011 wenge wood it has become one of, if not my favorite of all the annuals I have... it def grows on ya :)
