So I didn't find a thread about everyone's CRK collections or at least there isn't a recent one I could find other than Lone_Wolfe Lone_Wolfe 's amazing collection. I thought it might be cool to see what other people are collecting? Post some photos and feel free to add comments. Why do you collect specific models and or styles within a specific model? You can post entire collections or sub collections within. Maybe just your Insingos or maybe your wood inlays, etc. And just a photo is fine as well.

Not meaning this to be a "CRK Why or Why Not" thread. If you're hear, we know you like CRK knives.

I'm still looking for one more specifically but I also know I'll likely acquire more over time. All are users. However, some are more light users and some get everything thrown at them.

As you can see, I really like Sebenza Drop Points. Not a big Insingo fan but I do like the Insingo on Smalls over Larges. I've had a few Insingos and they just seem to get moved on. I do like the Inkosi but really only the Large version. The small is just too small for me. I will likely add another Inkosi or multiples at some point I'm sure. Wish there were more options for the Inkosi.

Not a big fan of some of the more ornate Unique Graphics.

The Zaan! I love this knife. I just wish there were more options available. I should say "affordable" options I guess. Maybe a Wilson Combat or Old Pivot in the future. Although the Old Pivot prices have gone crazy lately.

What! No CGG? ;) Just kidding, I aspire to your collection, having only two CRK myself. Those full carbon scales are talking to me as is the Zaan. Thanks for the photo!

Since I got tagged, I figured I'd reply. In spite of my collection being rather large, it does have themes. I'll list them briefly;

UG's; At least one from the major 'eras' of UG production. From a numbered P up to a current one.

CGG's; All the patriotic ones. I'm missing the Come and Take It (Gonzales Flag), other than that I think I have them all. I tried gathering an Air, Land & Sea theme, but abandoned that when I realized hos many there are.

Annuals. I have at least one from each year, that was my nuber one goal there. Would eventually like to get both a large and a small from each year, but that's not my top priority by any stretch.

Mnandis; A couple years back I sought to get at least one from each year. Once I did that, I created my Mnandis Through The Years thread. Then I sold off a few that were only here to fill a year, and shifted focus. Shifted again last summer when I had a chance to get some special ones, now the focus there is limited editions, rare damascus, and Mammoth inlays. I also have a couple that fill out trilogies, like my Bloodwood, Tamboti, and Lignum Vitae.

Wood Inlays; Trilogies, some are limited editions, some are not. A couple of my trilogies are what I call 'dirty trilogies', i.e. different models of Sebenzas making up the trilogy. My Desert Ironwood consists of a transitional Mnandi, a large 21 of recent birth, and a small Annual from 2002. My Bloodwood trilogy consists of a large 21 from 2012, a small Classic from 2002, and a transitional Mnandi to bridge them together.

Those are my main collection themes, there's a few randoms in there just because I like them. My Boomerang Zaan and my Inkosi are examples.

Now that I've written all that up, I hope it's what you're asking here.

My Tamboti trilogy, plus a Nyala belonging to Nickpp.

Ha, yeah most of the CGG just don't do it for me. But there are some. I will certainly have one at some point.

Very nice. I just created this thread so people can post photos of their CRK collections. All or part and didn't want to just limit it to photos only. A lot of people who have more than one CRK seem to be drawn to a specific style of theme and then there are those that love them all. I think you definitely fit into the latter. I always like hearing the reasoning for why people collect that they collect.

I enjoy it too, whether it's the ones I'd collect or not. There's a few people with great Zaan collections, for example. All the variants with sometimes subtle differences, and some of the super rare ones, etc. More than I'd even know about until they share. So cool to see and learn from the different collectors around here.

Exactly! Hopefully we'll get some good posts here.

Lord-a-mite, wut you done did to that poor Mnandi pocketclip?

Here's my 25's, I've passed a couple along and wound up with these which I'm happy with. I liked them when they first came out and didn't feel it was worth the effort to replace them with Inkosi's.

Wow! Great collection. I really like 25 Years model. And the CF 25's and Inkosis are just about the prefect larger knife IMO. I love my CF Inkosi.

I like your collection! I’ve always been curious about the 25’s since I’m a big fan of the Inkosi. Never really wanted one bad enough to justify a purchase, though. You’ve got a great variety there.

So here’s my little Mnandi collection. I really like the Mnandi for its elegance and size. My opportunities to carry a “gentleman’s folder” are few, but I enjoy having it in my pocket when I can, regardless. I mostly carry the Bog Oak. Some of the unique and rare Mnandis I’ve seen in this forum are drool-worthy, and I plan to expand my collection one day.

I don’t consider myself a true collector in the traditional sense of the word. I like to use what I have, with a few rare exceptions. That being said, I’ll probably never carry the Koa Mnandi from the 2018 Blade Show. I stumbled upon it, quite by accident. I was standing at the CRK booth contemplating buying a striped Platan version, and when I saw the Koa in the display case, I fell in love with it. I had no idea at the time that only 25 were made, no idea that it would be considered a collectible knife. After the blade show, I learned more about its limited production. I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. :)

Nice group, you've covered the color spectrum well. That's a great start there.

Thank you, LW!
I’m not really chasing any special ones yet, but I definitely have spent time looking through your Mnandi thread - both for reference and for appreciation of them. It would be nice to have an old nail nick version (pre-2012?) in the collection.
For right now, I’d like to find a nice Gabon or Macassar Ebony. I’m also waiting for the right color of Box Elder to come along, possibly with a Damascus blade because I like the look of Damascus with box elder.
