CRK Collections - Photos & Discussion

A small damascus sub collection on my small main collection! I've seen a lot of knives with damascus blades but there is just something about a Damascus Sebenza that really does it for me.

I really like threads like this. Seeing a theme or pattern to someone's collection always interests me. Sometimes I might not see the pattern, of just see part of it, but when the owner says what ties them together it can be really interesting.

Most of my collection is of Chris Reeve old South African and early USA hand made and custom knives. They’ve become a bit of a passion over the years and I spend way to many hours trying to track down these old Chris Reeve knives.....

The second part revolves around CGG regulars with fishing and outdoor themes. 3 in particular I’m trying to collect. The 3 sizes “Pheasant Tail” and 2 sizes of “The Catch and “Native American”

Holy CRK! That's one impressive collection. I really like that you focus on the older series of knives.

Those Catch and Pheasant Tails are beautiful. My brother in law lives and breaths bass fishing. Does quite a few tournaments. I need to try and track down "The Catch" for him one day.

Here’s my lot, all via the Exchange:

First came the Umnumzaan drop point. I wanted to see what the CRK ruckus was all about. I was pleased. It’s probably my favorite. Awesome knife.

The Small Inkosi and the Lg Insingo Micarta were the product of deliberate Exchange stalking. When I got the Insingo I felt a strange mix of pride and guilt; I had to be crazy to drop that much cash on a single knife!

The other four were impulse buys. The Tanto ‘Zaan shares its birthday with my wife. The Small Spalted was a birthday gift to myself.

Hopefully there will be a large CF Inkosi in my future. I’ve come close to picking one up a few times, both new and used. I probably should’ve pulled the trigger back when I had the cash. Now I have far too many competing commitments to rationalize the expense.

ETA: For whatever reason, the tanto Umnumzaan sees the most carry and use. I guess at some point I decided it was going to be the beater of the bunch. The Small Inkosi gets the second spot. It’s tiny, but can do big things.

This is the part where I take my ball and go home..... :o

J/K, but this is one of the best collections anywhere, totally droolworthy. The amount of time and dedication put into this is just unreal. So awesome, I'm glad you share them with us.

Get out of it I’m a bit part player compared with some;)
But thanks you for the compliment:)

My friend, you are a bit player compared to NO ONE. It's not about the number of CRK's you have, it's about the quality. You've gathered some of the rarest and most desirable stuff ever made, and all by the Man himself!

I have a few collections/sets. My favorite is the Sebenza 25 CGG set but I'm getting closer to the BHQ carbon fiber collection that I want.

How is that for a starter collection? Picked up all of these last weekend in one trip.

Wow! That’s an amazing starter collection! There are many people who’ve been collecting for years with way less than that group......
Never seen a Dalton Special before!

I really like your collection, W Wavicle ! Especially your group of Wilson Combats. Yours is the type of collection that I hope to end up with one day. A few sets of similar (but different) models with one or two larger groups of the ones I am drawn to, like the Mnandi and WC. Nice!! :)

Wow, that is some collection. Something about the Spalteed Beach Damascus blades just gets me. The Damascus and the varied wood really works well together. I might have to "upgrade" my satin Spalted Beach to a damascus version some day.
