I also felt the magnetic pull of a damascus Spalted Beech and recently caved in to it. Now I just can’t bring myself to take it out of the safe, carry it around and treat it as if it was just one more satin PJ or micarta inlay.Wow, that is some collection. Something about the Spalteed Beach Damascus blades just gets me. The Damascus and the varied wood really works well together. I might have to "upgrade" my satin Spalted Beach to a damascus version some day.

About these collections overall... I’m in awe of the collections here. The pix here make me realize that my measly four (only very slightly) “special” CRKs are just recent production, pretty pedestrian pieces by comparison.
I’m not sure if this post fits the intent of the thread, but I thought I’d share my little sub-collection of everyday carry CRKs.
The common thread of these knives is that they’re never in boxes or on a shelf. These get the most use, and one is selected each day, depending on what I’m doing or where I’m going or what mood I’m in.The Zaan is the “newest” of the bunch and pretty much only gets carried at work or when I need a larger blade for tasks around the house. The Mnandi’s bog oak is durable and the knife is perfectly inconspicuous. I love the way the Inkosi feels in hand - it’s probably the model I carry most of all, with the Insingo Sebenza a close second.
The bottom line is that I like having options for carry knives. This group isn’t anything special or unique, but having a collection of well-rounded EDC options is important to me nonetheless.

Man that's some of my bestThought about starting a new collection thread since this one is quite old but after reading through the 3 pages realized it’s a good read with some amazing collections for all to enjoy.
I’m done, for the year and pretty happy with the past months purchases. I started October with only the box elder and thenKettleman infected me with the Crk virus! The inkosi has quickly become my favorite of his models so I’m focusing the collection on them. I would still like to get an inlay tanto and a WC inkosi to finish it up, BUT not until next year!
Going to post my newb collection but would really like to see some of you long timers collections and whether your collection is focus driven, spontaneous or anything else that drives it. Looking forward to seeing some great CRK collections!!
