CRK professional soldier custom handles WIP

Based on my membership level I can't solicit work openly. ...but my PM inbox has plenty of room for messages.

I'll be posting more here when I get the kydex reshaped. Stay tuned...

You could always buy the proper membership..It's not particularly expensive..otherwise, you are soliciting work by making the statement that I am quoting.

Sorry, it was a tongue in cheek way of asking guys not get specific with questions.

I genuinely just wanted to share my hobby with folks who will appreciate it.

Definitely understand your passion, and I would be happy to buy a PS if you buy a membership and sell scales here. It's a cool knife that I've always liked.

Good luck, and thanks for the posts.

The finished project, including the re-shaped kydex...

Awesome job..That looks great!

Story time...
Myself and TRfromMT have recently become infatuated with Carothers Performance Knives. You simply can't find a better performing fixed blade. Getting your hands on them can be a challenge to say the least!
TRfromMT posted a WTB CPK EDC post offering to pay full price for the CPK AND make a set of custom scales for ANY fixed blade as a gift. After nobody took advantage for over a week (how hard the CPK's are to let go of) I just couldn't pass!
With this being my 3rd CRK PS and about ready to give up on the model yet again (just too thin) I thought WHY NOT!?!?
After TR showed me some phenomenal wood I decided to go with the English walnut I had left over from a custom gun stock. I believe he utilized SK! hardware as I wanted a screw/pillar construction.
TR has been incredible every step of the way and truly has a passion for his hobby!
TR will be shipping my PS back today and I just can't wait to get it in hand! Going to try and find a clip to install on the refitted kydex for belt carry.
Thanks again TR

Thanks, WTLJ.
This was a fun project. I am really looking forward to your impressions when you get it.

Here is a new "mnandi" style handle. These inserts stand about 1/16" tall of the surface of the tang...

Really appreciate the full custom handle you did, as I personally I think it can add to a knife greatly. Not as big a fan of the Mnandi inserts. Not sure it really fixes many of the complaints folks have with the original handles and not this way you pretty much can't wrap it in paracord.

Just my opinion though, different stroke.
