Have you ever purchased a CRK, then sold/traded it, regret it & look feverishly for a CRK replacement?

I had an Lg Inkosi, sold it...a year later...I want another.

The ones I sold, I've not regretted doing so. I've contemplated selling my large 21 snakewood; but I can't bring myself to do it.

Why contemplate it? Another purchase, $ needs? I sold mine to get more blades. Now I'm thinning the collection for more user blades. Also, I think the warranty towards none flipping is not what I would've done. What's the cost of the pins & service compared to the profits generated? I would've charged a $10 lifetime flicker charge & you could flick all you want & I would service the knife for life. The only pin I ever shattered was on an old Coldsteel Recon1 with the Ultra-loc. They gave me five more at no cost.

With that said, I'd purchase another CRK & machine the pins or outsource the pins myself.

I have a large Inkosi Insigo I will be selling, because I do not like it. Also a few surplus fancier large Sebenzas, and simply because I bought them all, to see what worked best for me. I have found the few keepers, and the rest will not be missed at all....a couple will be held back for unscheduled gifting, as well, with none missed, and all going where more appreciated. My keepers are the ones I know which are appreciated more by staying right here....when that changes, away they go, as well.....

Why contemplate it?
Because I don't like the 21 platform enough to justify having two; and I prefer the insingo blade...the only I haven't sold it is because I like snakewood, and feel that I'd regret it.
(I have considered getting a micarta inkosi insingo...fully expecting that doing so would compel me to sell my micarta 21. Seems like a reasonable solution while I'm thinking about it)

Anything in particular you didn't like?
For me it was 300+ should have at least a slightly higher steel, a little faster deployment...(I did polish & greased the washers). I think I could have put a detent ramp on the tang, polished the tang & frame.

Well I've never had more than one...I'm broke from too many other blades. o_O
I would strongly agree with keeping the snakewood. That thing is sweet with a capital yum.

P.S. To me that micarta Inkosi insingo would fall in that yum category too.

I only have those two.
The two I sold were part of my journey - the first was a PJ insingo (hated it), the second was a large micarta (handle was better, preferred insingo blade).

I'm leaning towards the 24. Might not be thee best, but like you said, part of the journey.

Can we be friends?;)

Seriously, I’ve never met a CRK I didn’t like. I don’t see myself ever selling one, but I would like to pick up one or two more.

Had mentioned in other threads that I found new and improved theoretical and attempted Sebenza replacement to be a step backwards. The swayback ground bevel on back of handle increased the angle of bevel points on heel of handle against the palm....

the lanyard was relocated directly into heel of palm....

and where formerly they bragged of having the best locklever access in the business, they cut that away to create finger grooves which never fit well with 50% of buyers....

As for the Insigo blade, I buy a sheepsfoot design for increased strength...which they ruined by swedging the top of the tip, to where a standard Sebenza blade is stronger out front, even over the thicker Inkosi blade..

Everything was just a step backwards....they SHOULD learn to radius ALL corners the way they are at the front of finger relief on both Sebenza and Inkosi, if they want to improve anything, or return the secondary bevel all the way around.

I found the knife only a beefed up cost cutter, meant to supplant the Sebenza, which was confirmed by their jacking the prices on Sebenzas to match the Inkosi...

The entire knife left a bad taste in my mouth...and the replies from their shop manager playing customer service that day, telling me maybe I ought to just start my own knife company, guaranteed my buying a dozen Hinderers for gifts to former unit members instead of Reeve knives,...

of which it WAS going to be Sebenzas, until that comment in reply to customer feedback, rather than "thanks for your feedback and it will be passed on to the team," even if faking it.

Now with that knowledge, it changes a few things for me. I've worked in customer service. #1 rule...(golden rule) , treat people as if they are kings or queens cuz you never know if you'll be talking to the real thing.

I bought one lg sebenza 21 plain, used but in good condition. It had lock stick but a trip to CRK fixed the issue. Sold it a few weeks later and I dont regret. Its a great knife but just too plain. If I am going to buy another, it will be with wood inlay.
