CRK Sub-Forum Idea. . .

Sounds like you have a good "in" with the man himself. I emailed CRK and sent Spark a PM, but please post here when you have had a chance to see him.

This is the way to go. Spark generally doesn't like to create additional forums unless there is an expectation of sufficient traffic to justify it's existence. In this case, I think it's a no-brainer. Tons of CRK products move through the Exchange.
 
Sounds good to me! There's a decent volume of CRKs exchanging hands and it would be nice to have them all in one place.

As long as the logistics aren't too tough for BF, I don't see why not.

The worse he can say is no. Like Morrow said only if there is an expected amount of traffic. But I think this will fly!
 
This is a great idea. Maybe Lone_Wolfe ;) can finally find that Morning Sun with Pine Trees in the design that she has waiting ever so patiently for;)
 
I guess I'll be the odd duck here. Even though CRK's are most of what I look for, I like all kinds of quality cutlery and would prefer for everything to be in 1 location.

I totally understand your thought here. I can see value in going to one place. The way I see it is I already go to more than one now.....production, fixed, custom, busse ect. While keeping the number of places I have to check to a minimum is of interest, I still think this is a good idea mainly because it's CRK ....but then again most of my current collection is CRKs so maybe I am a bit bias :highly_amused:
 
I personally ONLY go to the exchange to look for CRK. The majority of ALL my knives are CRK. I do have others, but very very few of them. So for me, as well as many others, a CRK forum page would be perfect. They could throw all the fixed blades and folders into one to make it easier for CRK and Spark.
 
Great idea! It would make it easier to spend more money than I need to on knives:thumbup:

It still would be. :thumbup: The sub-forum would be a part of the Production Knives FS Exchange forum, not the CRK Discussion forum, so in addition to the added link that would be at the top of the CRK Forum's main page, when you enter the "CRK For Sale Exchange", at the top of the page is...for lack of better terms, the 'link tree' and with one click, you'd be in the main Production Knives For Sale forum.

Most of us Busse(kin) folk disliked the idea when it was first broached to us a few years back, but I do believe that it didn't take long before all of us really came to appreciate the convenience, and now I barely remember what it was like before to have to wade through all the listings to find the Busse knives.

If CRK & Spark approve, I think that you all would really enjoy the convenience of having all things CRK in one place too. :)
