Had a CRKT M21 sent in to warranty for an extremely tight liner lock (this was not going to "break in") and they promptly sent me a BRAND NEW one in box!

Love the knife, surprised not to see more people raving about the M21. If only they would put some premium steel in it.

Anyways, GREAT job CRKT. Glad to see you excel where others have failed recently(SOG). You have a life time customer.

if only they would get there liner lock issues straightened out lol.

imho CRKT makes and markets to a entry level consumer and they dont worry about premium steels and such, i suppose they sell a lotta knives so its hard to argue with suiccess, but they arent a knife which is gonna impress many enthusiasts though the M16 ti and carbon fibre offer better steel, material and F&F so they can do better if they wanted to.

Had a few problems with knives from them m21 rusted a week after i got it they replaced it no problems lost some screws from a pocket clip on a bwana sent me more no charge exallent service . Buy from them anytime .

wanted to add that i have dealt with CRKT CS a time/2 and they were always a pleasure to deal with,

Interesting. I took my M21 snorkling in Hawaii. When I got out of the ocean, I flushed it with tap water, dried it best I could, and it didn't rust at all!

AUS8 may not be a premium steel in many minds but it is a good, serviceable steel. I wouldn't like it any better if it was sporting BG42 (don't get me started on SV30).

while it may not be a "super steel" AUS8 is perfectly serviceable and would be fine for most folks,

AUS6 is too, but it is getting on the soft side and anything below that man ya better like to sharpen knives lol, if ya use 'em much anyway.
