  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Crkt ?????

My M21 is about three years old. I don't know about the quality of newer ones. It has never failed a spine whack test, or any other test. It has AUS8 blade steel – not a premium steel but a good, honest, serviceable stainless. I'm happy with it as a trade off to my Sebenza on occasion.

I love my m16 and havent put it down since i bought it years ago. I have the m16-03 (aluminum scales, its an older version) and i put a new edge on it, razor sharp! It holds its edge well and i love the carson flipper.

I wouldn't pay over $60 for most CRKTs, but when you can find them for around $20, you can't beat 'em. I have the Desert Cruiser and a few Crawford Falcons. The DC is AUS8 and the CFs are AUS4. It seems the CFs are tougher and easier to resharpen than the DC, but to be fair, I haven't abused the DC enough to compare the two side by side.

A CRKT M18 was my EDC for the last three years, and I loved it. Kit Carson design, single flipper, smallish handle, nice wide blade, extra lock (never really trusted liner locks, so this was nice). Fit and finish and overall quality were top notch.

If I hadn't lost it a month ago I would be carrying it for 3 more years, or more. Of course, I wouldn't have come here looking for knives either...
