Crocodile Hunter dead at 44

The man with real life character shields dead? Impossible!
Seriously though I feel sorry for his family...but I have to say he had it coming.
 
That is a shame, young father of two. He placed himself in dangerous situations and his luck ran out. I'm sorry for his family.
 
A colorful and charismatic nut who's luck finally gave out. The man made a career out of putting himself in dangerous situations. At least he went while doing what he loved to do. It's too bad about the kids.

I think its a load of BS. Highly unlikely his death would be made public before informing his wife. Really hope I am right on this.

found beauty in all of god's creatures...
and shared it with the world ...
he will truly be missed...
may his famely and wife live with the knolage he was an inspiration to all
and i pray that god sends his messenger to assist and realave them of the greaft of missing him in the rest of this life...

There is a long history of Irwin being reported as being "deceased" and that being untrue, i hope this is another one of those cases.

Yeah, I hope so too. But if it is true, I have to wonder how something like that could happen. Stingrays aren't usually aggressive.
 
Google and Yahoo has the news plastered on their websites. Wikipedia has their entry on Steve Irwin updated too.

I guess he would not want his death any other way, he died doing what he loved best. I feel for his little kids though.
 
One account I read said it was a freak accident where the stringray barb struck through his chest. That seems just plain weird. I'll wait a day or two for the facts to sort themselves out.

Sad news about him, for his family . . . . all the way around.
 
Hey guys, I'm very sorry to say its true. Its all over the news, radio and tv. I guess he went out doing what he loved. Hope his wife and kids have lots of family and friends to help them through.

Rest in Peace.
 
Could`nt beleive it when i heard the news today at lunch ! The story of events on our news was that he stepped on the Stingray which startled it and then it hit him with it`s tail puncturing his chest with it`s barbs. Very sad news, a tragic loss of a great Australian

My thoughts are with his Family .
