And what happens if you read complaints here and then ask your people if they've received any complaints and they say no??? IIRC, you're the one who said Bucks phone system is out of whack...if they're not telling Joe the problems because no one can get through to them, then the complaints never get addressed, the problems never get solved, and no one is the wiser...
That's just one example of "what we have heah...is a failure to communicate"...
If my pet project was getting complaints I would want to know about it...If it was Idaho Bell's fault, I'd want to take it up with them...If it was a faulty switchboard, I'd want it fixed/replaced...If it was someone making decisions they weren't authorized to make, I'd want to know that too...
Don't be getting down on people complaining...You pay your money, you've bought the right to complain...Complaints are what identify problems...If you're not getting what you paid for, there is a very real problem...
...$.02 please...
My point then is to call Buck...
wh4f - The example I used was reported here several times by 334dave as being a malfunction in Buck's phone system that they were not aware of and which they don't seem to be able to fix...IOW, they don't even know someone is calling...Several people have commented on being put on hold, being disconnected, etc...Buck doesn't know they are cutting off customers, and the customer doesn't know Buck doesn't know...
I only found out about it by reading the complaints of others here...including 334dave, Buck's # 1 supporter...
Now if I call and am told I'll be connected to someone else, I call right back and ask for that person/department...
I don't know about you, but my time is valuable...TO ME!!!
Jim:
I don't think Joe is the one to blame for the quality issues. I am merely speculating here, but I truly believe that Buck was not able to cull the workforce they thought they would be able to in Idaho. While it is saving them money, it is costing them their reputation; slowly but surely. If you smack a dog too many times, it won't come back to you either. Granted, the majority of Buck owners do not post here, but that doesn't mean they are not out there and displeased either.
My time is important also, but I am still not their only customer...
If you cannot get a response from email, try using the telephone...
wh4f, you are the tip of the iceberg...the other 90% is never seen...or heard...but it's still there...
Businesses know this...That's why they take "polls"...
Does anyone at Buck take an interest in this Forum??? Not if only one or two people post...and the other 90 or so just lurk and say nothing...
And about emails...I got an email from Sarah that had a Microsoft Office attachment...I thanked her for thinking of me, but since I don't use Office, I couldn't read it...Sarah sent me back a text version...
So someone at Buck reads emails...![]()

Dave,
You have a heart of gold my friend but....I have to agree with Mr Chickentrax.
If I can't garantee that I can do these special little things right, I should not do them rather than frustrate a lot of good people.
Also, I would really hate it if forumites felt they had to candy coat everything they post here. Hearing the good, bad and ugly is all important. I can't tell you how much it frustrates me personally when I hear the bad and ugly, it makes me feel like I just let down a close friend even though I have never met most of those that post here. But those comments are necessary in order to ensure that it does not happen again down the road.
To be honest, the compliments embarass me because I know there are those that may still feel let down and I know there is still more that I should do. Also, IF the knife they have a problem with is actually due to a manufacturers defect, should I really be complimented for fixing something that should have been right in the first place?
Your opinions may vary but that is mine.
And by the way, I am not a VP, just a lowly Director. But thanks for the promotion, I will strive to deserve it!

HA HA!!! That is funny!
B110, the ones I hate are the voice ones, "Please say 'I ordered BG-42 but got S30V', or 'I think Joe is doing a great job'".
"You said 'I ordered BG-42 but got S30V...alright. Say '1' if you want someone to call you back, or say '2' if you really think we give a Pack Rat's ass".
I can't stand those systems.
Jim,
I wasn't talking about you, No "bad and ugly" comments from Jim allowed. Remember, if you dont have anything nice to say...![]()
Just kidding of course.
