Cold Steel's XL Espadas have arrived. I know a lot of people have been waiting for these to arrive, so thought I'd post a few pictures. This knife dwarfs all other folders, and is as long as some Bowies. When gripped at the front, it will balance at the finger cutout. Choked back to the handles end, and you have plenty weight forward for chopping, as well as plenty of reach. I'm impressed!

Just looking at it like that... hard to believe that is a folding knife.
LOL I don't think my pockets are that big.

Thanks for posting pictures Sir, was beginning to wonder if they'd ever come out.

I hope these stick around for a bit (so I can pick one up) but somehow I think they'll be in and out of the regular line-up quickly.

Just a feeling on my part because I equate this to the 7.0 Gibbs Cude from Camillus. A small run and then into the collectors safes :(

Get'em while you can boys :)

I would feel a little ridiculous walking around with that monster knife...

Yeah well, but carrying such a giant knife is as if you need to compensate for something...

Well, good news.

There is finally a folding knife for Shaquille O'Neal.:)

[And Andre the Giant, if he were still around.]

yeah a brain. i watched the video and it really put the size of the knif einto perspective for me, why on earth would someone carry one of these in lieu of a fixed blade knife?

I love how I can carry that concealed but I can't conceal a 1" fixed blade in CA. Nice photos btw.

Being in CA, we can't carry any fixed blades concealed. I prefer not to bring unnecessary attention to myself. I'd rather conceal a folder unless I'm going somewhere outdoorsy with few people around.

so why not conceal a spyderco military that can handle all of your cutting tasks instead of a monster 9 inch when closed folder hell a good solid edc fixed blade is that size. if a cali cop stopped you and pulled that giant thing off you do you think he would let you keep it or do you think that hed just be too busy laughing?

a nearly foot and a half long folding knife is a sure fire way to bring attention to yourself. i can pull out my rc-3 or boker trance and slice open something small and replace it so quick that no one would ever notice hell im sure the thwack of that thing opening is more than enough to bring plenty of attention to the giant folding sword you just pulled out of your pocket heck i dont even think most of my pants could fit that monster.
