CSU FRESNO: they took my strider!

What a testimony to law enforcement lack of integrity - and people wonder why the kids have no respect for the law.

Stay with it and follow only your lawyer's advice. It pleasing to see you follow through, hopefully you can stick it out to the end (including a good civil suit with nice rewards).

We are supportive - good luck!

I just don't get it... I sold one of the officers a like new M16-14 when I got my CS Triple Action double edge. He was even playing with it, swinging it bali style and such. One of the seargents and I were comparing her BM Elishawitz(sp?) auto with my at the time new Strider. there was never any problems. Then this prick arrests me and they all stand behind him. They agreed with my friend Chris that my knife was legal yet they still arrested me for it. And don't think for a second that knives are a rarity at my campus, CSU Fresno has IMO, the best ag program in the state. And with that come the cowboy types complete with a Buck 110, which by the arresting officer's logic, are all breaking the law as well. I don't like to repeat myself (oh, alright, maybe when I say nothing but good stuff about the Strider

) but I don't get it

CONGRATULATIONS! You just found out the hard way that cops stand behind cops and not us "civilians". Most have the classic "us against them" mentality. They are not your friends, no matter how hard you worked for them or associated with them. Now, if you were a fellow (sworn) badge-carrier, this unfortunate incident never would have happened. Yes, I definitely agree with the civil suit method of setting things straight. And remember to have your arrest record sealed so it won't come back to haunt you in the future. Keep your mouth shut about concealed knives. The less people, especially cops, know about you, the better!

TOM1960, did you happen to notice you're giving advice on a matter that's over six years old?
