I finally received my Ripple today, and man, I can't stop flipping it! I have a CRKT Shenanigan as well, but this Ripple is so much more sleek and fun to flip.

I know this is a production knife, but if I'm having this much fun w/this knife, I can't imagine how much I'd enjoy something more expensive!

Yes the ripple is pretty nice. I originally purchased one because of the designer. I now have several and like them. Probably the best crkt product

It is an awesome knife, which one did you get?

I'm not really familiar with them, but I believe it to be the first one. It is partially serrated and has K405KXB(I know the numbers are correct, not sure about the last 3 letters).

I have a ripple and love the way it flips, my wife does too, probably how it ended up in her purse. :( The only other CRKT I've liked so far is the Heiho, been carrying it for weeks now.

I've got the original blue Acuto+ Ripple. *Love* it. It really is a lot of fun to flip. It's very well designed and well made. CRKT and Ken Onion sure knew what they were doing with this one. It's an exemplary EDC option.

I too have an Acuto Ripple, and consider it a superb production knife. The steel was great, as is the IKBS, which is amazing. Really smooth. Very well made knives that are truly unique in some way.

I have the aluminum ripple. It was my first flipper and I love it!
I feel like if I ever buy another flipper I will be disappointed with how it doesn't flip like the ripple...

I received one from a member here on BFC as part of a giveaway, it sits in my back pocket with a lanyard so I can yank it out when ever I need it.

Great knife.

honestly the blue ripple 2 framelock is hands down one of my all time favorite knives.

The Ripple is a nice knife but its far from the be-all end-all of flipper designs. There's lots of others that you won't be disappointed with. The ZT560 and ZT566 are really nice and Kershaw makes a bunch of inexpensive ones like the Skyline or if you can hunt one down the discontinued OD1 has a unique flipper mechanism that's silky smooth. There's also some newer designs from Spyderco and Benchmade. You can always use more knives:)

In my humble opinion the blue stainless steel (framelock) version is the most of attractive of the Ripples.
Wish they would do the new version in blue at some point.
Also wish CRKT would quit calling every version Ripple! Gets confusing to discuss them.

Very true.
Even some others from CRKT like the Ikoma Sampa.
But I can understand someone encountering IKBS for the first time getting pretty excited.

I think this is the first time anyone on this site has been discouraged from sharing pics of their knife.

The OP was just talking about how neat a flipper it is, and by inference how nice the IKBS works.
Guess he could have taken it apart and showed the IKBS, but I wouldn't recommend that....those little bearings have a way of hopping around.

Now I've seen it all :D

Glad I was able to help complete your bucket list ;).

Yup, from now on I'll post google searches of my collection ;)

No need to get bent out of shape Alann. I was just having fun with ya.i apologize if I offended you.
