I love the Ripple. I have 2 of them in fact, the budget model with the black aluminum handles and the more expensive one with the blue handles.

The Ripple was one of the main knives that made me feel I needed to buy a lot more knives. I liked it so much I had to see what else was out there. Before I bought a ripple I was only casually interested in knives, they we're an extension of my job, or backpacking, or fly fishing. Now they consume me to a certain degree.

I carry a Ripple 2 for the past 6 months and I enjoy it very much. I flipped the s&^t out of that knife. Smooth as butter. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a bit of blade play with the lockbar disengaged. I didn't pay much attention to this. Today when I clean and lubed it I noticed something rattles in there. Seems that one or two balls are missing from one side. Never took it apart though.

So guys check the pivot and tighten it if needed or you'll end up 'loosing your balls' :P

They're real easy to take apart, you need a clean light colored work space and a good pair of tweezers, I'll see if I can do a photo tutorial when I get a little more time to shoot some pics.
