I got my first peanut in today. I guess there wasn't really anything I could do to prepare myself for just how small this thing really is. The smallest knife I own is a 15 at 3 1/2", so I was bit shocked at how nimble this little thing is.
I immediately touched up the edge on the main blade, and GOOD GOD, it took hardly no effort at all to get the clip blade screaming sharp. Part of that goes to Case for putting quite a nice edge on it before it left the factory. I was also quite surprised at how well this little bugger is put together. The fit and finish is superb.
I picked up two, one for me and another for a gaw, and they are both by far the best put together Case knives that I have had the luxury of fondling.
Here is mine

I am hearing the siren call of the peanut. I have been tending toward small edcs.

Anyone modify the pen to a sheepsfoot? would love to see a pic and let me know what you think of it after use.

cheers

Yep, though more of a mini-wharncliffe. :)
It works great, though since I modified it by raising the cutting edge, the blade is a little bit thicker at the edge than the original pen blade. You could thin it , but I don't mind having a stronger tip.

I received my first peanut today. I have to agree with what others have said, these little knives are really well made!

If you would like a warncliffe secondary, without having to do a mod, you might consider an AG Russell Pinched Peanut. VG10 steel also.

I've been doing some searching on the interwebs, and I cannot seem to find what I'm looking for. Does anyone know if Case has ever produced an Ebony handled Peanut? The only wooden-handled Peanuts I can find info on are recently produced knives (i.e. Curly Maple, Sycamore, Antique River Log). Thanks, Cult members!
