Cult of the Texas Jack; why should the peaNUTS get all the glory

Have same knife purchased at a store in Oswego, NY in 1976. It was “under-bladed ” and I sent it to Case for adjustment. It was received back a few weeks later with the same problem so I carried it a couple of times, coated it with oil and put it in storage where it remains today, virtually mint. It is one of my three remaining Case knives along with a two-blade folding hunter and a stainless Sodbuster jr.

A 1973 Case 6292 I picked up a few years ago at an antique mall; essentially a new knife, but someone got carried away polishing the handles - kind of flattened the tops of the jigging in the center. I could call it, early pocket-worn!
