Culti Guts, to graphic? Add your own play along!

In the stand here too.
Enjoying unseasonably warm weather here in Mi.
I saw at least 20 Doe's this morning but missed out on a tag this year.
I have the Boss Jack with me that I received from another Hog just 2 days before I left on the trip. I can't wait to put it to use on a fine Mi. buck.

I also brought an RMJ hawk along, a Jenny Wren.

Season came in yesterday but if all goes well I'll have plenty of pics in the next couple of months!

Good luck out there. And to the rest of you still on stand as well. All of you guys hunting late season are making me want to hold off the mulies and chase whitetails next year, ha!

Rob, what fruit is that?

Congrats to both of you. I bet I saw 30 doe's today, hoping for horns tomorrow.
I'll have a nice and bloody boss Jack if I do.
I also brought an HRLM and a tanto mud mutt that I may try out too if I get the opportunity.

Good luck to everyone.

maybe if you guys stop posting while your in the blind we can get some new bloody photos! :p:D
good luck out there stay safe!

It's a dragon fruit. Delicious :)

Congrats! I would be happy to even see a doe this season. :grumpy:

Myself and 2 friends went out this a.m. and we all got one. Dressed mine out in the woods and then went to shop and helped my buddy skin the other two. The HG-55 was still going strong after all that. It would still slice paper but wasn't taking hair off too easy

Congrats! That HG55 looks like an incredible field blade,,

The HG-55 doesn't get nearly the following I think it warrants. The funny thing is I bought it on a whim while waiting on my TGLB (the first busse I ever bought) and the HG-55 is by far my favorite of them all so far

SHHWEET! nice ! HG55 is officially on the list! I am heading out in a few minutes hope to add some pics!

Good luck and I will add that if you look around the picture forums you will see guys that like a knife so much they have a dozen of them and have all the variants etc.......the HG-55 is that knife for me, I want to get all the variants of it that are out there

Well, if you just want guts shots...

My first deer, last year:

grilled backstraps with sauteed mushrooms

after carving out the backstraps

the whole magilla

the tool

Those steaks look great, and not over-cooked either. I'll bet that ScrapMax is a heck of a slicer. I've been thinking it would be cool to have a boulemic basic 4 in elmax, ha!

Thanks. My first attempt at cooking venison was to cut some backstrap medallions, pound thinner, and give them a quick saute.

Not bad, but I felt it didn't respect the essential tenderness of the cut. So for the rest, I grilled it whole, then cut slices to serve with the mushrooms.

As resinwife had no interest in even trying venison, I had to do something involving small portions.

Meatballs

and for the shoulders, a recipe for something like barbacoa

This year, I will try jerky, and roast/steaks, as resinwife has now decided to join in.
