These idiots can pass all of the self-serving laws they want; it doesn't mean "We The People," have to follow them.
uh, what?
I'm all for reasonable regulation of weapons, (I know some of you may disagree with that position, and that's fine) but when regulations are used to target a particular demographic for over enforcement and subsequent punishment, something's gotta give- that ain't right.
Following laws is part of the social contract, but when we see laws created and applied that fundamentally affect targeted citizen's pursuit of life, liberty and happiness due to factors outside their control, those laws must be challenged in court and changed at their root.
To suggest simply breaking the laws you don't like because you don't like them is antithetical to the whole point of civilized society, and is really not a particularly helpful suggestion to make in the context of this thread. It's spitting in the face of the Knife Rights cause, from where I sit.
Way to go, Doug. Knife Rights is an important advocate, and I hope that you continue to make a difference, despite unfortunate setbacks such as this in NY
