Usually by email, there will be a "go" issued..Usually via a post here, and you email it in.

There will be several responses telling you to send smoke signals or such.

Do not send your email before the REAL Go, otherwise you will be booted to the back of the list, and likely strike out.

Folks will attempt to trigger false starts. Trust no one. Even I would hire your mother to post a false "Go" if I wanted a knife badly enough.

The best strategy is to wait until the day after the go thread is posted to make sure you don't send your email too early.

That will all depend on strength of connection and speed of device. There are plenty of cell phones that can process more efficiently than desktops. If you have a fast computer and reliable internet, I would probably go that route.

2. You must have a GOLD Membership to Participate!

As a new member you are only participating as a provisional Ganzite...think of it as a sort of "learners' permit."

First off you'll need a sponsor, a "Big Boar."

Since Resin Guy already has a list <with pics> of the models that will be up for grabs I'd suggest you PM him to sponsor you as your "Big Boar" <ie Big Brother>....

Resin Guy's a busy HOG and sometimes you gotta PM him a few dozen times to get his attention, so don't give up...he'll only sponsor the most diligent piglets so think "quantity." A tactic he uses a lot to winnow out the runts is he will PM you back something like, "What the h - ll are you talking about , sponsoring you?" or "Leave me the ______ alone" or even, "I'm reporting you if you PM me just one more time." Don't give up...this is just an attempt to see if you are worthy of the Ganzaa...remember "quantity."

One thing is for sure, if you get Resin Guy to sponsor you as a Big Boar, you're a lock to get whatever knife you request at a discount of 15 - 45%!

Australians actually get the go several hours before y'all in the US.... apparently the staff at The Compound are very fond of the quaint accent and Vegemite treats we send over....
