Curiosity question, what knife will you always own?

Was wondering if most people own a particular model that no matter how much their collection fluctuates, they will always have at least one of this particular model. For example, I noticed Sebenza lovers, one never seems to be enough. I can never see them not having one.

I own a heap of expensive folders, multiple CRK's, Hinderers, got a Demko Custom coming from the man himself for a price im embarrassed to admit being in Australia with the exchange rate etc. but one that I would never be without is a simple Cold Steel Recon 1. For me personally it's the most capable bullet proof knife I can count on to do absolutely anything I could ever want it to.

I would have to say the only thing that comes close would be the humble Victorinox classic.
I've got 3 I use and have thoughts of maybe having one for each day of the week.
It's just such a useful little thing with it's toothpick ,tweezers, driver, and scissors that i just can't see myself without one.
Plus they hold a special spot for me as they were a favorite of my grandfather.
Beyond that I don't own multiples of anything , dont collect models, and don't trade or sell, so that just leaves knives with sentimental value that I'll keep forever.

I have a little one and I keep it with my small grooming tools, like nail clippers and nail files and the odd small screwdriver. Like you said, it usually has what you need for a small quick fix etc.

And it doesn’t cost a ton and you don’t feel bad at all using it as intended. And maybe a little more.

+1 on a SAK. I also share your approach of not selling or trading. I do, however, have one [almost] duplicate, which is a Benchmade 710. The almost duplicate is the M390 version with the pretty blue & black scales, whereas my original is in D2 with the original scales. I got the second one when @Benchmade discontinued the 710 o_O:( because that is a knife I never want to be without. It should appeal to you as being 100% designed and made in the USA.

I will always own a cqc7 and Spyderco Pikal.

I don’t see myself giving up my Shamwari or CRks either.

I love Chris Reeve Sebenza knives. I have a small (micarta) and large (plain) Sebenza. Also have a unique graphic large Sebenza that is NIB. And finally a Chris Reeve Shadow III fixed blade knife. So I would stick with any of these knives but IF I had to pick one, I would go with my Shadow III.

Have to go with the venerable Swiss Army knife, no particular model, but always one around to use.

I have two models I will always own. A Spyderco Military and a Fallkniven F1.

Old pic, please ignore the Mini 15. I like it, but not enough to replace it if lost.

And for the past 8 months I have been carrying a 204p Millitary, the S30v is now a back-up.

Maybe also any knife from ML Knives, it has a soft spot in my heart because it was one of my first custom purchases. A Hudson Bay knife probably or a Field and Carry.
