Ok so I ordered my AG 110 from Cabelas and I'm pumped!! Hoping to order my custom shop knife soon too! I am a bit confused about the sheath that comes with the rosewood AG 110 though. Cabelas site says that it is tan but then they have a pic of the burgundy colored sheath with the buck logo stamp. ?? I also noticed a few of you say from previous posts that the AG models come with a ram head AG logo stamp on them. So just wondering what to expect. Anyone ordered an AG from Cabelas lately? Perhaps they changed sheaths. I chatted with a couple of Cabelas agents online at the same time and they were both as confused as me about the sheath it comes with. LOL

I don't have a newer one, mine is a 2007. It has a burgandy sheath with the AG logo on the flap, and a silver snap. The BP that I have is also from 2007, with a burgandy sheath, and brass snap. It plainer looking than the AG sheath. HL

hmmm.. so it seems like they do switch up the sheaths pretty often. I really like the tan colored ones just cuz I have a few burgundy ones for other knives but they are nice too. I like the brass snaps more than the silver ones. I'm kind of hoping for that Ram stamp just cuz it's different but from the looks of it that's not what you get anymore.

I know that the iorn wood sheaths came in a distressed brown sheath. Iam not sure about the AG logo on it though. HL

Those are pretty nice too. I called cabela's stores to see if they had the knife in stock and could look at the sheath and they were out! Glad I picked one up.

On May 1st I was in my local Cabela's, and they had both in stock. Just can not remember the sheaths if they where with them or not. HL

if it is any thing other then black it is worth saveing
if it is a user i would still use a nilion sheath or black leather..
but jest my thougths
like some one said to me once
you will take what you get and be glad to get it !!!;)

Very true Dave. I know for sure it's not black and now I guess i have to start collecting sheaths too. Getting back ups for back ups etc... this never ends. I love it.

My stag and ironwood AG 110's all came with lighter colored distressed leather sheaths. The rosewood 110's came with darker smooth leather sheaths.

Did your rosewood 110 sheath have the buck stamp or the AG ram head stamp on it?

You just need to take a trip to Phoenix. We have Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, and Sportsman Warehouse. Had a friend call me up tonight and said that we need to go to Cabela's saturday. I just asked what time was he picking me up. HL

Yeah I love going to phoenix...you guys have everything over there. We have sportsman's warehouse but it's not the same as bass pro or cabelas.

Pretty sure that's what I'm getting. Man we need a Cabelas in New Mexico!
Heck Tracks,we don't even have a stop light, much less a Cabelas.:eek:I started to get up and take a second look at the rosewood one I got just a few weeks ago. Then I stopped and turned around because I don't want to blow the moment when you open that Box.You are gonna be shocked at the quality and good looks of that knife. As far as the sheath goes,I like the one that came with the rosewood better than the one that came with my ironwood.I have NO doubt in my sometimes disturbed mind that you're gonna love that rosewood AG.That's my story and I'm sticken to it:D

Awesome Skyhorse! Thanks a lot! I'm really looking forward to receiving it. We may not have a Cabelas or stoplights but we have a lot of good places to use our knives!

Yep,Tracks so many places to explore.Where else are you gonna be out ridding you're horse and have a sheriff stop and say how come you're not carrying a pistol on you're belt!Of the 110s I own that rosewood is the one that has a place on my belt, honestly it's a great knife.Be sure and let us know what you think of it:D

My hardcover Spring 2010 catalog shows these in such a way that I THINK you should be getting that burgundy sheath with a Buck stamp........not the AG stamp.

It shows the distressed leather AG stamp sheath with the Ironwood models and it shows the normal leather burgundy sheath separately near the rosewood models (and it seems to be stamped just "Buck Knives").

That Buck stamped sheath is displayed with a Vanguard that is in a burgundy sheath which, strangely enough.....has the AG stamp on the sheath.

I'm hoping for the AG stamp but either one works for me. I also have a tan sheath and nylon sheath coming from buck so I'll have some options.

The photographer got it wrong. It sometimes happens when products are sent to the studio. The editors at Cabelas probably thought it was too minor to re-shoot. (That's my guess...WTF do I know ??!!) :D:D
