For example : Buying a blade at retail and selling 10 years later for twice the purchase price. Vs buying something at a good deal on the buysell today and flipping it at a profit the next day. (Sorry if I wrote that on the illiterate side)

I understand your point but the reality is the moment they are sold out it makes no difference whether you've held it for ten years or ten days for the most part. The result is still the same, demand often exceeds supply and allows for higher prices. Capitalism isn't perfect but there is nothing illegitimate about buying low and selling high. Virtually every business does this AND many individuals that have a sense for smart commerce and I would say that's a very unfair judgement in many ways. Now, what CAN happen with the newer released stuff is what I believe you might call oversaturating the market. We never know how many Busse makes in any production run but I think it's fair to say the older stuff was often in quite limited numbers compared to today. There are still super limited releases and Jerry usually makes it clear when that's the case and it seems to bear truth in the end.
