The edge held up very good. No rolls or chips of any sort. It cut paper the same as it did before.

Bead blasting is good sandblasting is bad.......Word to the wise.......A sandblasted blade will rust right NOW......Shot peening is best, glass is next.....

Cool pictures and I'm loving the custom grips on that BK9. I'm having trouble making up my mind between the 7 and the 9 for my next Becker. Whichever, I need a set of those grips on it.![]()
When I get some time I may try to carve a set from spalted maple and then use the dremel to texture them the same way. I haven found any micarta for the 17 yet, though I could make my own I suppose.
Also, under the grips, you can warm the blade and dip it in wax if you don't want to file or sand it smooth.
