I had this one made by Fallen Oak Forge because I wanted a heavy duty work knife that was legal to carry and had some ideal "fighting knife" features. I had to compromise in the tip. Not very pointy, but it is still sharp! This is .25 thick 5160 with a little less than 4" of blade. It was differentially heat treated and shows a hamon. It has been used on my jump bag more than anything. Cuts seat belts like butter!! Had the edge done by RichardJ not to long ago. It is sporting a few scratches and smudges right now, but I don't think you could break it if you tried. The forward sweeping design puts the belly of the blade out in front no matter how you grip it. Very efficient cutter.
I want to turn this into another folder. I'm swimming in fixed blades since I started making. I really want another Emerson. I had to sell my collection to help start the wife's business. I also like spyderco, benchmade, ZT and the like. I paid 300 new for this one. Users are fine as long as they lock up well. Especially Emerson's. They will replace locks for free if you ask real nice. Let me know if you want to trade. I'm opposed to combo deals if you got the right stuff.
