Custom Kydex pics...

You know, with the addition of power tools and additional equipment these sheaths are only going to get better... hard to believe!! Great work my man!!!

Knifekits.com has professional looking eyelets. They have a tool set that fits in a press but I just bought the tool set and use it in my old drill press for straightness and leverage. Email me and I will get you some pics if you want.

Thanks guys. I should be getting my powertools next week. I'm pretty excited. I think I'm gunna have to set up a cheap godaddy site or something to keep up with this stuff.

Ok. Knifekits had exactly what I needed. I'll have to place an order there at the end of the week. Hopefully within 2 1/2 weeks I'll be the eyelet master. ;)

Dylside, I just emailed you a bit ago!

Shot you an email back. Let me know if it didn't go through. It should be there by now unless it failed. knock $2 off what I told you.

I need to go home tonight and build a website or something.

Email replied! I'm not to savy about websites, but I can make you a myspace for it if you want? I'm pretty swell at doing those! Let me know!

I appreciate it. As much as I hate having the knowledge to do it, I used to make websites and all sort of multimedia stuff for a living. I don't enjoy it but I know how to do it. lol. It brings back bad memories of a cubicle in a windowless room.:(

Dale, did the tang of the BUCK get in the way of the lanyard? What tools did you use to do it? Just a drill? Also, so do ya want to do the myspace?

I actually tested with a needle to make sure the tang went down that far cause I wanted the lanyard to be through it so there wasn't any chance of it ripping through the rubber. It goes almost to the bottom and that's what I drilled through. I just used a simple hand drill.

It's Dylan, just for future reference. ;)

I wouldn't mind having a myspace for it. That would be cool. I'm just going to do a website, but if someone else wanted to do the myspace page, I wouldn't stop them. :)

Just on a side note. I put a ton of elbow grease on that Buck. It was my brother's knife when we were kids and I have just held onto it ever since. The sheath has long since fallen apart. He at one time had spray painted it black with some pretty tough crap paint and then lost it outside for about a year and some change. A little while back I decided to restore it to better than factory so I stripped all the paint off (which was much harder than it sounds) and put a mirror polish on the blade and drilled the lanyard hole. I think it came out great. Still had to a lot of work on the edge to get it back to life from being a kids throw into everything knife, but it came out pretty nice.

Also, I wanted to tell you guys that I'm also going to be doing some necker only rigs. Naturally they'll be a little cheaper than the usual horizontals I do since they won't have belt loops. I'll take some pictures of the one i did for my Viking in the next day or so.

Dylside,
I will work on the myspace after I return from my hike!

Thanks bro. I appricate it. Most of the getting this stuff started is going a lot smoother cause I have a bunch of really nice people helping me out. All of them rock the house.
