Custom Scagel Folder Reproductions & Original Scagels

A friend of mine has a couple of these. Found them at garage/estate sales cheap! Sheath is not original.

My dad passed away last year and I inherited his vast knife collection. I have been doing research since September on all the different makers. He loved Scagels and was very fond of Ron Welling. He has several Ron welling custom pieces including a custom made wood box by Ron with a set of knives inside. I have looked everywhere and have never seen anything like it.

I would say I am the student as he was pretty much an expert in knives and guns and hunting and fishing. This is been an educational process for sure as I have wanted to learn about everything that he has before I sold anything because I didn’t want to get taken by some shark. The only thing he didn’t do was keep a log or journal of exactly what he had so it has been difficult to even identify somethings.
