Custom Slimline Trappers

Wait, the serpentine trapper isn't a 'slimline', but the 4-line is???
For me, the serpentine one is much more pocket friendly.
The 4-line is much larger - see:

Call 'em what you like. I call 'em mine! ;)

Dr. Bill,

You go right ahead and call any pattern anything you want....whatever makes you happy. ;)

That Hanson is a gorgeous piece of work!

Actually Bill, the 4-line is not a true slimline as there are patterns much more true to the slimline frame than that. I was just looking for an excuse to repost it. :D

This is the Bose slimline pattern w/swinguard which is patterned from a Catt. slimline trapper. The serpentine pattern you have, although being quite slim, seems to be somewhat of an odd duck as a trapper...normally it's a jack pattern, isn't it.

Notice on those two of duckman1's....doublebomb has a cut swedge and NYKnifeCo has a drawn swedge...sweet!

I love the grinds on this slimline from Joe Allen. Newer pics of an older knife.

Here is an image I have of Nick's knife by Joe

Thank for posting it Vince. I really need to get me a better camera. Nice knives in this thread guys!

Vince, gorgeous nick and swedging on that Allen!

I think the gorgeous nick and swedging on the Allen belongs to Nick but the image is from Vince. (Wow, that's a lotta names to throw around in one sentence! ;))

Here's one that John Howser just finished... cryo treated ATS-34, integral frame, bone scales:

Thanks, Nick. I put in an order with John after the Blade Show and he told me he could have it ready for the holidays. I had asked him to use some antique (looking) bone that I'd seen on another knife of his but he couldn't find any more of that particular bone in his collection. When he called me today he told me that he substituted the bone you see. I like it every bit as much as what I had originally intended.

He took a couple of quick shots before heading to the post office. (I'll post more images and info in a separate thread after it's received.)

That bone sure looks old. Interesting shield too. 4" closed? Must be knice to have knives coming in just in time for a Merry Knifey Christmas!
