With all the nice group shots I've been seeing of late I decided to try a group shot of my custom slipjoints commemorating their current status as of the end of 2007.

Unfortunately the lighting wasn't very cooperative but it's okay for a quick and dirty attempt.

Knives pictured are by Tony and Reese Bose, P.J. Tomes, Ray Kirk, Ray Cover, J.B. Moore, Joel Chamblin and Bill Ruple.

(Better images and close-ups of each of the knives can be seen in my "Custom Folders" album by using the link below my signature.)

2008 should add a few more to the mix and I'll try to get an updated and better picture posted at a later date.

(I may have to arrange to have Ford come here with his camera and light box to do a MUCH better job than I ever will on my own.)

Wow Elliot,

Its a very fine group shot! Got me drooling over here..

Thanks, Sunny. I should also mention that they're all carried. No safe queens in that group.

Thanks, Ford. (Don't forget to bring your camera and lightbox when you visit! ;) )

Awesome group of knives,Can you guess witch one I drool over the most?

Vince, if I had to hazard a guess... Well, hell, it wouldn't even be a guess! ;) :D

looks like 07 was a good year for your collection..
I really like the stockman at the bottom of the pic :D..
Who did that one ?

The 3.5" stockman at the bottom is by Bill Ruple. That one was a lucky find.

The dogleg ( 3 5/8") is by Joel Chamblin, the wharncliffe trapper (3 5/8") by J.B. Moore.
Single blade Scagel (4") is by Ray Kirk, the double by P.J. Tomes (4", elk scales). P.J. also did the 4.5" Remington Bullet (lockback).

Ray Cover did the large two blade trapper. (4")

Tony Bose did the 4" Back Pocket at top left. Reese Bose the 3 7/8" sowbelly at top right.

After much consideration and judgement Elliott I have to be honest and say that your correct in the fact that the lighting just wasn't good...No siree...:p

I can only think of one solution to this problem. Since I live in the good ole Sunshine State and have an over abundance of quality light to work with. You "must" send your knives to my house so I can make use of this over abundance of Sunshine...

I'm sorry but there's no other way around it!!!! :)

Great group of folders, Elliott! Glad to hear they are all carried, too.
You will really have to work at topping some of those in '08!

- Joe

Nice collection, Elliott! Nice representations of several good makers. You are a lucky man!!!

They all look great. I'd be more than pleased to own any one of the bunch.

Good luck topping those in '08.

Say, would you like this to be a "group shot" thread, or shall I post a new thread? Don't want to hijack you, but you have stimulated the urge to show off my group too!

Charlie, feel free. And that goes for anyone else wanting to display some pix of their custom slippies.

Nice Group Blues. The 2 top ones are my favorite. I am going to try and get me a Ray Kirk Scagel in 08.
