Thank you. Found those shells on Sanibel and yesterday collected some jingles on the beach in Morris Cove CT on the Long Island Sound. Same shells, different colors 1500 miles apart.

Sounds good. The only problem is the wind is usually poor in the warm parts of the year.

When ever I did the around long island regatta and newport to bermuda race, the weather could be crazy.

Rufus1949 You are far beyond my capabilities to take on either race but the weather never cooperates during the round the island race. I've heard stories about making that turn around the eastern end to head into the sound. Makes the Titantic sound reasonable.

It's been awhile. The inaugural regatta, we had 40 -50 knot winds on the ocean side. Not much less in the sound. A few smaller boats had major damage. I guess climate change is affecting much more than people realize.
Im glad yoy get to enjoy the area. It,s beautiful.
