Love this one.
Thanks Joshua, Stan was a foreman, at Wostenholm, when they made up a large Stockman, with wooden covers, for Schrade. A couple of years before he made this knife for me, Mrs Slater, who was the last of the Slater cutlery dynasty, and who Stan had also worked for, gave him a few blades she had from that knife, so he made me one up, with Buffalo Horn coversWow, I’ve not seen this one before. Very cool!
Welcome to TraditionalsApologies on interjecting and hijacking this thread, but I noticed this is a mix of custom knives and knives people here have customized themselves. I'm interesting in seeing knives that people here have modded themselves, traditional of course. For example, cover material swaps, old decrepit knives that have been rebuilt, etc.
Is there a thread dedicated to this? Or, is there a better site to consume this type of media? I'm most interested in seeing restorations of old slipjoints. I'm "new" to the forum, and didn't have much success with searching.
Thanks a lotJack Black I love your Tod Cutler stuff. I have a mace from him I need to sneak into this sub-forum somehow.
