Good Evening All-
Perhaps the knifemaking industry should adopt a technique that has had great success in the software business. If the manufacturer thinks the next release of software will take one year before the bugs are worked-out, they tell the computing community the next release will be available in two years.
In reality, the software companies then take eighteen months to boost the functionality and clear the Quality Assurance checks. They're six months late "internally" but six months AHEAD of schedule to the buying public!
I believe this concept was originally pioneered by General Electric to increase productivity by their product management teams.
