customized CS Americn Lawman

Dude you could do that to about fifty of those a sell the crap out of them. Heck I would be first in line. Hint Hint

I wonder how thick it'll be with titanium liners. How thick liners are you going for?

BTW, great job.

Wow!

Do you mind if I copy this idea? I would love to make some of the same mods you made. I would probably stonewash the blade as well, but I dont want to kill the edge I have on it right now.

Beautiful work!
And i think you just saved me some money, was going to order a Lawman but according to your pics the thumbstud is short on one side.
Why would CS do that? Not very lefty friendly, seems silly for them to ALMOST make it ambidextrous. Is the thumbstud removable/reversable?

Anyway awesome mod!
:)

you can revers it , good knife go for it , I like mine and just made second .
It will be in 'for sale area' soon.

Just a note to those who try it on their own.

CS did a good job on this blade coating , it is very stubborn , chemical stripper for several hours is the best answer. The finish underneath is allll stonewash. ;) Yea it does have a greyish quality to the steel , mine even seems to be getting a bluish patina of sorts over the stonewash.

If you take it apart , pay attention to how you did it , go nice and slow and all that. It is really quite easy and if you cant recall exactly how it all goes back into place CS has a diagram on their website showing what goes where in their disertation of the Tri-ad lock.

This is a fantastic knife for the money , the mods can be as numerous as the sand. Kind of. :)

Finally got a Lawman for Christmas.
Might mod mine this way as well.
Might go a little farther and mod the grip shape, take the pointy parts off the finger-grooves.
I like the Lawman so far but i'm not a big fan of finger-grooves in general, i bought this knife mostly to try out the triad lock.

Interesting how many folks here seem to hate the black paint.

I bought a mini Lawman on the forum from paulhilborn, who had stripped off the paint.

I never would have considered buying one as it came from the factory.

Cold Steel should deliver the knife stripped of that Mall Ninja black crap to begin with, then I might buy it.
