I have not nor did I make a threat. I was just stating the facts.
Like I said, if SR doesn't replace the knife(with all postage fees paid for, to & from), that's fine. I'm not going to lose sleep over it. But I would think in these cases the company might take a different view. As I'm promoting their knives through the various tests I do, mainly outdoor tests.
You NEVER will hear me say or bag the SR company as a company, other than my personal findings whilst doing these tests on certain knives.
So pull your horns in, look at it from my view, think about it some then sit down & smell the roses. I'm not stressing so why sweat it mate. It's all good.
I'm still a huge Scrap Yard fan(I loves those knives!) firstly & Busse second, so at the end of the day. I will be still buying Bussekin knives, just not any more SR's. But that's me & the way I do things.
When the chips are down, especially when my son comes out bush with me. I need a knife that WILL NOT fail, or it could mean our life.
And I'm glad this happened at home, with my son watching closely(you wanna see his face
ha ha ha it was priceless), as if it happened whilst out bush, well, things can turn nasty.And sure, I understand that this was probably a ONCE OFF, but it still happened. And me being me, I play the percentages. With that said, Scrap Yard knives have never let us down, & the one Busse I own for that matter, soon to be two
Again, please do not imply that I threaten. Do your homework & you will find I'm easy going, but I'm also straight down the line, a spade is a spade.

We are still searching for the tip. There is a $20 bounty at our house for it. Maybe that could be the solution. Send in the tip in (If we can find it
), rather than the knife, hmmmmm.You might be right about the HT. I just hope this is a isolated case, as I can afford the lose this time around(it happened at home rather than out bush). Others might not be so lucky.

There's an awful lot of speculating going on in this thread when all you had to do was email like I asked at the beginning of this thread and we could have easily worked out all of these details offline. We will cover the knife and if you can email me we'll work out the rest of the details. If you tried to email me I sure didn't get it so I'll add some additional email address ratknives@yahoo.com or info@swamprat.com or ratknives@insightbb.com
Just drop me a note and as I said I will be able to answer all of your questions. I'm not trying to hide anything there is just no reason everyone needs to be involved in our discussions on this.
We haven't had a lot of warranty issues but no one has ever been unhappy how they were treated, even the guy that shot is BR with the .308 seemed to be happy with his replacement. I'm sure all parties involved will be happy when all is said and done.
So once again all the speculating can stop (and it could have all been addressed before it started) if you will kindly email me at your convenience)

Extortion, really. ha ha ha, you are spitting fire now.
So when I take pictures & write reports, & men like yourself see my S6, YKLE, GW, Strider MFS, SnG, SMF etc, you get my point. Then they see my CW with it's tip snapped off. What do you think they will think & say. Think about it some, we are all gown men here. No doubt I will get reply's/PM's like. "what happened to your CW" or "you must have really tortured that one". You see my point now. That's why, IMO, it's in SR BI to swap it over, under my conditions. Because, if I have to pay one red cent. I would just rather keep the knife & be done with it. That's it mate, it's cut & dry. Plus this knife still has a huge place in my families life. Although I'm a little nervous doing any more tip work.
I will say it again. I have not bagged SR knives in anyway, other than stating my OWN findings, in which I posted on a PUBLIC FORUM. The key two words here is "public forum". What do men discuss on forum. Think about it mate, & I'm sure you will come to the conclusion, I don't start trouble. Just stick up for what I believe in!!!

that is called blackmail, actually. . . Saying that it will be negative reviews and bad opinions spread across many forums unless they toe your line. . . and all this before even contacting the company. I think a chill pill is in order, because you are out of line.
By the way, there have been more warranty issues with Scrap Yard Knives than with Swamp Rat, due to a bad sheet of steel or something. But like Swamp Rat- they share the best warranty in the business, and they all go out of their way to make things right.

It's seems that I cannot have a sensible conversion with SOME of you men, as you are taking what I'm typing the wrong way. Look, & I will say this for the last time. I test all my knives to a certain degree. If the CW in question does not get replaced, & I can tell you I no longer care if it does! It will be in my further tests. Not because of the snapped tip, NO. Because this is what I do & the knife still functions for what I attended it for. Baton work. It's that cut & dry.

"Chill pill" doesn't mean suspended or banned... Just means "relax", and give Eric & Swamp Rat Knives a chance to fix the issue. :thumbup:
