OK, Guys I screwed up...my first post as a registered member was in the wrong forum so I am re-posting here as recommended by an experienced member....Does anyone have a good or bad experience with a company / Website called Discount Knives located in Silver SPrings Maryland. I placed an order with them a month ago and am still trying to get them to ship ! They first claimed an April 5 shipout. Then, nothing at my end so claimed it was lost. Agreed to reship the 18 April.still haven't seen the order....no recent e-mail replies to my e-mails...phone line continually busy signal...HELP !! I would appreciate any positive or negative feedback or personal enfluence...maybe I should have asked before I placed the order with them at the end of March.

If you search this forum, you'll find out that Brian is impossible to get through to by phone.
My experience with Discount Knives has been excellent. Great price and my order shipped the very next day.
However, some people have apparently had a very different experience. Again, search the forum and you'll find lots of discussion on this topic.

I've ordered several times from Discount Knives. Brian may be slow but the items arrive safely.
Okay, so my orders are coming to England and take a while but apart from Customs examining them, I've never had a problem.

I've made several purchases with Brian. Really good guy to deal with! If he doesn't have it in stock ~ he goes out of his way to get it. In fact, I've got an order of "stuff" on back order now.
In my experiences, Brian communicates his every move!
Have always found it easier to deal with him via his e-mail.

Regarding knives I purchased from Discount Knives, all I can say is "Every knife I ordered arrived packaged properly and on schedule".
One of the best price around and I still buy knives from Discount Knives.

As far as Brian and Discount Knives goes, you've got to remember a few things:
1)Don't even bother with the phone. I tried ten times or maybe more in two days and never got past the busy signal.
2)They're really really busy down there.
3)Beware of their online order program. It makes orders disappear sometimes. If you don't get the 'order confirmation' screen AND the confirmation email later, then your order most likely didn't go through.
4)Email ahead of time and find out if what you want is in stock. If it is, then order it. That way your order is far less likely to get caught up in the mix of things.
5)Brian WILL get back to you and is very dedicated to doing good business. Email replies can be slow, but have patience.
All this said, as the other posts above will testify, generally orders go right through effortlessly.
