D2 Spyderco ?

Sal, I would love to add a OD Green D2 Military to the original an S30V that I have. My son carries a 440V also.

No, we don't like Spyderco knives.............can't say right off hand how many we own but it is a bunch. Your knives set the sharpness standard that I compare other brands agains.
 
D2 or no D2 I would like to see a blue anodized titanium handled Cricket. Perhaps a G-10 handled Cricket using that same blue G-10 that is used on the Dodo.
 
Sal, The way people flock to other D2 steel knives I see go through the store I doubt you would have any problem doing a run of them.
 
Heres another good reason to do it with another scale color.
You would get some that do not care about the steel to buy them too.Desert Tan ot Olive drabe...PPPLLEEEEAASSE!
 
Shoot, I'll buy darn near any knife in D2. It's a sentimental thing, like thombrogan said! :D

I know I've been posting this in almost every thread, but.......has anyone mentioned an OD Green G-10 Mili with a black blade? ;)

The Military hasn't seen anything but black G10.
 
D-2 would be most easily built in the Golden plant. We can run the blades alongside of S-30V.

IMO, the best "test" run would be with the Military, ParaMilitary, Chinook or Native. We have other new model plans for the Golden plant, but capacity does have it's limitations and new models present their own challenges....sych as taking longer to get into production than planned.

Any of our Seki makers can use D-2 so really any model is possible. With the Seki makers, a larger quantity maybe necessary.

Our Taipei maker could also use D-2, but we would have to purchase the D-2 and ship it to Taiwan, which to my value system is more effort than the short run deserves.

Mostly, I would need to know that there is sufficient support to create the run...and how to make it different from a normal run to avoide confusion.

Make it the Military and change the scale color to desert tan or O.D.
 
Of course I would be on the list for an OD Green Black bladed Mili, but I didn't have to tell yall that. :D

I would opt for the Para-Military.
It means I would get to use it more often. These days the Military is a bit big for my daily needs.
 
My vote would go for :

- D2 Paramilitary with black blade and OD G10 handle.
or
- D2 Delica with black blade and OD G10 handle.
or
- D2 Calpyso Jr with black blade and OD G10 handle.

Don't get me wrong, I love my military, but its blade size makes it illegal to carry here and in many cities in the world. IMHO, these shorter knives would make the special run more sucessfull as more people would be interested. These days, I EDC a CF Delica PE even if I prefer my Military S30V.

And if you really want to have a bigger folder in D2, why not bring back the Starmate to life in D2 with TAN or OD G10 handle ?! A lot of people on bladeforum seem to be very nostalgic about this knife.

D2 or not, I think a Military with a black blade and OD handles would be wildly popular.
 
This would be a great way to bring the DLC coating out on a PE Military,oh yeah with O.D. scales too.
