Moose had a bit of a run in with some machinery at work and as a result will be off from work for a bit. He told me to let everyone know he's ok, but will require some recuperation. He will probably be pretty loopy from pain meds so if he pops in at all(doubtful) he'll be babbling nonsense. No worries, he's not disfigured(more than normal) or missing any limbs. Just a thumb injury, but the ER doc was pretty optimistic. Oh, he told anybody with access to Yuengling to mail it to the Moose rehab fund substation, pm me for addy.

no fun for the moose -- hopefully it's paid time off since it's workman's comp.

Typing is difficult and yes I am hammered on meds.

Got my thumb crushed in a gear today. Took them 6 minutes with a cutting torch to free me. The whole end of my thumb is destroyed, but will mend.

Yikes, hope you have a full recovery, thumbs are important... I have seen many work related injuries in my career, and caught and crushed my moving equipment are pretty common (guarding issues). Just be glad it didn't pull you in further than the hand.

Sorry to hear this moose! But glad you're ok and didnt get any other appendages caught up in it, or caught any worse than you did.
Smoke and Prayer for good and gentle healing.

So his head didnt get caught and he's normal then....;)

Having both thumbs tied up and useless, that is, if you keep the other one where you normally keep it. :p
Now if you'da had a knife on ya, you coulda been free in about two...

Sorry to hear brother. If you need anything, let me know.

I do have to agree a little on the "Pics or it didn't happen" comment. You of all know the rules.... J/K

Seriously, let me know if you do.

Oh no. Hate to hear that. Hope you recover quickly. And I bet using a cutting torch to free you made you a bit hot under the collar.

this is what happens when you let electricians have power tools... no good results :>
