Dacian scrapmascus

Yea, this one was calling me. I like that the Damascus is made of tough scrap steel and doesn't have a uniform pattern. Handle made for a cold European winter. Very earthy, and looks like it's forged from an age gone by.

Exactly ! This is what I wrote for my response to it in the Custom & Handmade Knives forum -

"Nothing regular about this one- sexy and sublime. It looks like it could be a hundred years old with all the best years ahead."

I sure would like to hear from you when you get in in hand. Please send me a PM or add your impressions here. I'll be watching.

Enjoy

Hope the impressions will be positive ;)

Hey, I've had this knife for about a week and I can't stop looking at it and holding it (that's what she said.)
It did come with a working edge but not sharp enough to slice paper. So I put my own on it.
Did some light batoning, chopping and various cutting tasks. Very solid knife, fun to use and keeps its edge very well.
Absolutely love the handle contours, the warmth of the wood, and the iron pommel, you have a great design here. The only thing I would change is having the edge closer to the guard for more controlled cutting, but having it where it's at is better for stone sharpening.
Sheath is snug and a tough leather.
The knife and sheath are a piece of art, well worth the :greedy_dollars:, keeper for sure.
RayseM, I would buy a smaller scaled down version too.

Glad you like it! :)
Thanks for the nice review, it really made this rainy day a lot better for me.
Yes, unfortunately I'm not too good with the sharpening thing. Some edges come out quite well and others not really. Somehow I don't feel it in my hand.
Sure, if anytime you wish to have a similar smaller one, I will be here at your service ;)
