Why? the kid's been shooting since he was old enuff to hold a gun up (decent shot even if he IS wrong-handed lol)...and his finger is off the trigger. I trained him...I'll trust him with a loaded firearm any time and place.

''unloaded'' guns kill people.
 
Ahhhh! See I didn't know about his training. Whenever anyone has asked to pose with one of my guns, I always make sure it's unloaded, and give them a quick training on it.

the GLOCK actually WAS unloaded...but just because I unloaded it right then. I just don't see why people assume a gun SHOULD be unloaded. I would not care two craps about giving him the loaded gun...but we were in front yard next to the street...I didn't want the police to stop and the 17 yr old to have a loaded handgun...so I dropped the mag and put in an empty mag but NOT because of ''safety'' concerns.
 
Any of you guys see The Raid: Redemption yet? Good action movie, but don't see it for the plot. See it for the ridiculously epic fight scenes. Those guys seriously need to learn to fire in bursts though.

No idea what that flick is, but I'll look into it. On movies, I did rent a Martin Sheen movie last night. It's called "The Way". Not an action movie, but really damned good. His son Emilio Estevez either produced or directed it.

I had ALL the GI Joe figures and vehicles...out of boxes but mint. LOVED em when i was a kid. My Dad decided when I was 14 or so that I didnt use em anymore and he didnt need to store the boxes they were in....so he gave them to a neighbor kid while I was gone for the summer. Im still not very happy about that 16 years later!
 
Thrilbilly - good to see your nephew knows which hand to hold a pistol with AND to keep his finger out of the trigger guard until he's serious. :)

thanks..Im guessing u are also left handed? ;) dont worry.. I shoot with either hand. or both. Makes no difference to me.

I shoot either handed, too -- used to shoot mostly right handed, but the vision on that side is getting worse, so I'm in the process of reteaching myself.

anyway - time to log off. storms are getting close and SWMBO is nervous about them.
 
Got to hold the new coated machax today at the eugene knife show. It's rougher than an esee finish and I like it very much.
