I have an older Remington TargetMaster that I wld love to scope. My great uncle bought it new in 1942 from a local general store. It is very accurate (for a sporter, prolly not target rifle accurate)...... it shoots better then I can with irons. But I also dont wanna drill and tap a heirloom rifle. I been debating this in my head for a couple years lol
I've handled one of those. Lovely little rifle. It has the nice rear elevator peep at the back of the action?
Don't ruin it. Only one stock bedding bolt as I recall. with peeps you oughta be able to hit anything you can see once you get the elevation right.
