Thanks again y'all, like I told clayton, he was suffering from pulmonary fibrosis which basically chokes you of your oxygen, sucks for a craftsman, woodsman, all around badass to basically drown from lack of o2...Not suffering anymore, all is better for him...
It was a benchmade, (handmade not brand name) little fixed blade....wood handles, about a 3" blade...lost it on a camping trip many moons ago...
I did however get this from him not too long ago...his knife he carried with him during WWII, good little history to it....not original sheath but cool none the less
My condolences. Seems to be a bad week for grandpas. Mine passed on Saturday, Darrel Ralph lost his dad this week too, and now yours too. May you have nothing but good memories. You've got me curious though: what was that first knife he gave you?
