Thanks again y'all, like I told clayton, he was suffering from pulmonary fibrosis which basically chokes you of your oxygen, sucks for a craftsman, woodsman, all around badass to basically drown from lack of o2...Not suffering anymore, all is better for him...

My condolences. Seems to be a bad week for grandpas. Mine passed on Saturday, Darrel Ralph lost his dad this week too, and now yours too. May you have nothing but good memories. You've got me curious though: what was that first knife he gave you?

It was a benchmade, (handmade not brand name) little fixed blade....wood handles, about a 3" blade...lost it on a camping trip many moons ago...

I did however get this from him not too long ago...his knife he carried with him during WWII, good little history to it....not original sheath but cool none the less

I'm about to put up my modded 0551 for a sprint para in the trade forum. Not sure what to ask for since it being a blemish, modded, convexed, new scale etc. And since I don't know jack about the sprint paras I don't wanna get ripped off.

I carry the ZT and love it, but I don't use it cuz it doesn't slice well. Its sharp as crap and bites but once it gets past the edge it gets hung up. I've started carrying my GEC bull nose with it and use the bull nose more

If I were you, I'd ask for a blue or orange sprint run or a plain regular one plus cash. I figure your 551 is worth 200 with the scale n stuff. Let me know what kinda offers you get.

Nice. I have the large pack, but was thinking of getting a medium instead. Large seems like overkill.

I donbt like the large...too big, and leads to carrying too much stuff! Plus, unless u mod it heavily, the large requires the frame...and I HATE that frame with an everburning passion

That's another thing I'm not crazy about. I feel the frame makes the pack sit too far from the body. Almost feels like it's pulling you backwards.

plus, Im like 8'' wider then the frame on both sides...so it jobs me in the shoulderblades...and it adds a bunch of weight to the pack.
