Dad's back in the hospital

Dwayne, if it is realtives, situations like this can bring out the absolute worst in people.

Hold onto what you and your dad had, and don't let the actions of the "others" diminish that.

If it is the "process", there is no easy way to get through it, you just do it.

My dad has been gone just over 20 years now, and thinking of making the preps, and dealing with "formalities" still puts me in the fetal position.

Sorry for the bad scene you are in bro.

Hammy

Sending positive thoughts.

...and hoping this tough situation comes to an end for you soon.

In days (OK, maybe years) to come, you will be glad you went through this for him.

Prayers to you and your family, keep the good times in your thoughts and you will make it through this tough time. Let us know if you need anything.

Sendin more Prayers your way. I also have just lost someone close to me and i know you have to just hang in their.

Dwayne, you hang in there brother. If the relatives are being vultures like Mike said, it is tough. If it is the funerary proceedings, they are tough man. I remember being so sick to my stomach that I felt like I had someone kicking me in the gut the whole time. Letting go is tough. I'm still praying for you, may the Lord give you the strength that you need in this time of mourning and trial. God bless you and you family.

ok guys, nothing is going right. Ever feel the "outside looking in" ? yea, I'm not a happy camper. Y'all please send all the positive thoughts you can please, I want to go home in the worst way. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. :(

ive been thinking about you, stacy, and your family quite a bit lately.

i dont have any sage advice, but i can say you will get through it. and when you think about him, the good, the bad, everything, you will remember it was the whole package that you loved, and what made him who he was.

you're a good man, dwayne. and i have no doubt you are a good father and husband. try to keep your chin up, but there's nothing wrong with feeling sad, angry, or confused and allowing those feelings too come to the surface.

remember all your HOG brothers and sisters are thinking of you.

And driving home this morning, I wondered if you meant the surreal feeling of the whole thing.

It was the strangest feeling I have ever experienced, almost like "Is this for real"?? Took a while for that to subside....

Time, loved ones, and friends will help man, they will....

Dwayne and Stacy, Me and mine are so, so sorry for your loss. Our condolences and prayers go out to you and your family.

For sure, the greiving process is a multi step endeavor. There are no short cuts, it happens at the speed we allow it to. I burried my mom at 12 and my dad at 18, that has been a long time ago. It is true that time softens this issue, it just takes time. If their are familial issues, as is the case so often, rise above it, so your dad can be proud of you! I hate when "family" gets down and dirt at these times. I don't know if that's the case, I'm just sayin'. God bless you Dwayne and Stacy, stay strong, keep the focus! Scott

Heading home early tomorrow morning! Things have worked out a little better, but not as well as I'd have hoped. :( I'm just feeling a little let down.

We have rented a u-haul and got a few things out of there, my fathers work bench is one of them, wow! that thing is a BEAST! I didnt realize that renting a truck had gotten so expensive, were out over 600.00 and not even got on the road yet. YIKES! Gonna have to chain myself to the bench to pay off that bill. Y'all look for LOTS of work to be coming out of the shop in the next few weeks.

Thanks again for all the support! It means so much to us.

Off to find a good sale on Ramen.... ;)

Sorry to hear things went poorly Dwayne. :(

Glad that you made it through though! Hope your family is doing better as well.
