Dad's gone

My Swedish kin always have a party for the dead as they're better off then us,so he's doing good now I'm sure.

And as it's been said, you'll meet again.

I'm sorry Steve.

Please lean on us when you need to--that's what we're here for.

Smoke and Song for you and yours Steve...I lost my Dad 24 years ago and even though we never reconciled the earlier years, I know the loss is a deep one.

Sorry for your loss . It sounds like he was quite the man . Radar was quite an art especially in the old days . You needed quite the ear to detect frequencies . I guess the fact he had an ear for music was an asset .
He enjoyed being with other people and that says a lot .

Im sorry for your loss. This seams appropriate.

The Watch
For twenty years,
This sailor has stood the watch
While some of us were in our bunks at night,
This sailor stood the watch

While some of us were in school learning our trade,
This shipmate stood the watch

Yes...even before some of us were born into this world,
This shipmate stood the watch

In those years when the storm clouds of war were seen
brewing on the horizon of history,
This shipmate stood the watch

Many times he would cast an eye ashore and see his family standing there,
Needing his guidance and help,
Needing that hand to hold during those hard times,
But he still stood the watch

He stood the watch for twenty years,
He stood the watch so that we, our families,
And our fellow countrymen could sleep soundly in safety,
Each and every night,
Knowing that a sailor stood the watch

Today we are here to say:
"Shipmate...the watch stands relieved.
Relieved by those YOU have trained, guided, and lead
Shipmate you stand relieved...we have the watch!"

James

Steve,
Your dad is at peace now. May you cherish his memory always. Call on your friends if we can help in any way.

Blessings for you and your father, Steve. I would have to say that he raised a fine son.

Smoke going out for a warm reception upstairs ......

Steve, I am really sorry for the pain and loss you and your family are feeling right now. All I can say based on the son he raised is that he must have been one hell of a man.

Prayers and smoke for you and yours.

Norm
