Show me your favorite Daggers! I have a small collection going that I will take some pictures of. They are a guilty pleasure of mine. I know I don't have any use for them. And I'm usually all about USING all of the knives that I own. But I took the plunge and starting "collecting" knives I know I won't ever use. I like fighting knives too, but mostly enjoy the symmetry of a nice dagger.

Here are a couple of pics that aren't mine

I love daggers, especially military ones. I have been thinking about getting one of these. They are made by Daniel Winkler. I usually carry a fixed blade on my vest as a backup weapon, my WK Belt knife is what I carry mostly (grate weapon and tool). A dagger is just a straight up weapon.

ED! I'm glad you are contributing. That dagger looks spectacular. Mr Winkler sure knows how to design some elegant tools.

Here are a couple pics of my AL Mar Fang II

The pictures honestly just don't do it justice. It's such a beautiful knife.

Any idea what this guys carrying? it looks like a dagger. I have been trying to find out what kind.

I like the two with the matching handles, who makes them? They resemble a Gerber Applegate Fairbain dagger handle.

Ed, I'm not real sure about that one. It might be this knife, I saw if for sale on Ioffer.com but could not find any other references. The knife is a 'U.S. DIVERS Aqualung master'

S&W, The smatchet looking one says U.S. military first production run and is serialized(found it at a pawn shop). The other was purchased at a hardware store. They are both at least ten years old.

Yeah Ed (nice to meet you btw, you have some cool posts), the one I found on Google images under vintage dive knife was the Aqua-Lung brand as well.

If I could carry a knife on a vest like that I think it would be something like that CS Counter Tac I or Boker Applegate, just for the grip and disposability (I’d buy like 5 or so) if you had to turn it in for court or whatever if you used it to dispatch someone (I’m not sure how that works). The only problem I had with my Counter Tac I was that it rattled initially in the Concealex sheath, but I used a hair dryer to make the sheath "grips" tighter, and I have been trying to loosen them up without heat ever since.

That Al Mar looks sweet Ac1d

Here is a link to one of thoes vintage dive knifes for sale on ebay for rerence.

I used to carry an Ontario M-7 bayonet on my LBE during my brief service time, you just need a bayonet lug on your H&K j/k. Good luck.

Careful that is a very slippery slope you are on.
(Take it from someone who has the t-shirt and hat).

I consider daggers and multiblades the most difficult knives to make correctly. I also remember a statement made many years ago by a well known collector with more experience than I will ever have saying "no knife collection is complete without an example of a well made dagger".

This is the lastest dagger that I have been fortunate to add to my collection:
(Like someone once said, you never know when you just might have to dag someone :D)

there is no winning on my part.
Just kudos to the makers. Vince Evans, John Fitch, Mike Vagnino, Ray Kirk and Sava Damlovac. They are the ones who deserve the credit. ;)

slapper please do not do that :D.

My first dagger was a plastic/resin sting from A.G. Russell about 25 or 30 years ago. ;)

Haha, I'm having second thoughts about posting my tiny little collection of factory made daggers. Yes Kudos to those Makers for sure.

Oh wow Gus. That Vince Evans dagger is something else. That's one of the nicest I've ever seen. Nice score, sir!

Here's my contribution to the thread. My Gerber Mark II, Gerber TAC II, and an old (early '90s) Gill Hibben.

Not only my favorite dagger in my collection for "look and feel," but the most meaningful knife I own as well. This one was created by family, engraved by a friend, and was gifted to me by my Mom when I turned 18. I have posted these before, but this just seems like the best place to put them. Great thread!
