Daggers!

Seals, that one's really cool! Got any more info on it?

Crimsonfalcon, I like what you're doing there. I'm also working on a dagger for myself (I promist to post pics when it's "done"). What steel are you using?

It's made from a Nicholson file, so I believe it's 1095. Got it polished so far, thinking about a guard of some sort now, and will be making it bloodwood handle scales.

It'll be 1095, Don Fogg bought steel from a Nicholson plant and had it analyzed...I used to think it was W2.

I love Dawson's work. His Commando dagger is gorgeous. I have a Dawson blade coming soon.

Here's mine, I think I'm about done.

Looks much better than my first attempt at a knife, holds a shaving edge quite well so far, although being a novice to heat treat, I'm not about to try bend tests or anything like that. Still need to figure out where I can get something to polish the blade more. I'd like more of a mirror finish than I'm getting with just UF ceramic rods. Balance is right where I wanted it, right at the spot my first finger rests. Next project will be a bit bigger though.

Use wet and dry sand paper, start course and work your way down...when on a finest grit use the paper till it just about falls apart and you'll have a super fine mirror finish. :)

That man is carrying an Aqua-Lung U.S. Divers, it has a 7" blade, and is partially serrated. It is not a dagger however, sharpened on one side with more of a "fighting style" military type blade. I am currently looking to replace the sheath for mine. It is a very durable and rugged knife, heavy thick and so far an undestructable piece of steel. My father passed his on to me. Great tool! Hope that was some help.
