Daily Carry...maybe THE one?

G2,

Or for that matter, reacquaint yourself with the 941D2CF... unless you got rid of your second one, too!

Still looking for my ultimate EDC. Currently I have a BM 555PE, and a Leatherman squirt S4 as my EDC.

Regards,
Cedric

G2,

If you haven't already, please reacquaint yourself with the 921. S30V and Wharncliffe go hand in hand. If you're more beholden of the extra safety and sturdiness of a framelock, such as a Sebenza, but need a wharncliffe in S30V, check out Peter Atwood's offerings. If he made them in lefty versions, I would've broken my New Year's resolution.

Thanks Thombrogan...I'm planning on doing just that, will watch the forsale section for a plainedged one in good shape.

Cedric...as time has it, the second carbon fiber 941 has also flew away, Dexter is keeping it warm for me! With the red handled 941 I'm just so happy with that knife I didn't see carrying the cf one at all and sold it to him for what I had in it, he is fairly happy with her as well, nice knife, no doubt! but for me, I prefer the weight and looks of the red handled one...I know, strange eh? ;)

Peter's work interests me as well, he is making some quite nice looking folders! I am $$ shy right now but will put that on my lists of things I'd like...

I posted in the other thread as well, but right now I'm rotating between my Benchmade 940 and Spyderco Navigator. I purchased a Benchmade 770 just prior to Christmas to replace both of those EDC's. Well, what happens is I get sent a Prototype 770! I don't have a problem using a Preproduction or First Production knife, but a Prototype makes me cringe.:grumpy: So here I am with a knife shaped ornament!
How do I get over the thought of using a Prototype as an EDC?

keep it NIB and buy another, wait 5 years and maybe it'll go up about $1 in value.;)

gotta give a nod to the mini-grip at the moment. Can't put this 556 down. Delica is sweet. Navigator is great. But this mini-grip is staying in my pocket at the moment

I carry a Delica in my left hand pocket and a Renegade in my right pocket.

"Spyders rule"

Today it is a BM 555 in the right front, a Schrade Minuteman in the left, a Leatherman original multitool on the belt, and a Photon 3 on the keychain.

In a world of sheeple many would think we have lost our minds

Glad to hear you are carrying that one around, it was just sitting on a shelf when I had it...

And yes, a Mid-Tech Boa is about as nice a knife as you'll come across :)

I posted 10 days ago that my edc was a Obenauf framelocker and it has not changed. I have modified the handle with the addition on some stair-tread tape to enhance the grip and it still rides in my right front pocket and goes everywhere I go!

Love those framelockers!:D

My EDC is a Severtech auto. A really amazing knife. My EDC used to be an Emerson Commander. Still like the Commander, but the Severtech is far superior in strength and "tool" like usefullness.

I can't say for sure but I have a pretty good idea what the "one" for me will be. I've always loved the Spyderco Wegner. Now that Blade-tech is producing an improved version with nested liner, S-30V steel, all screw construction, and a few other tweaks it may be the one.

Hi Dennis. Blade-Tech does not have it listed yet on their site. Do you have a link that shows the knife and it's specs? Sounds like a winner to me.

Btw, been told by several people that Severtech makes the BEST auto bar none...it is a HEAVY DUTY cutter that WILL NOT fail!!

It is going to debut at the SHOT show along with the Mouse II. Blade-Tech doesn't want any picks leaking out till the SHOT show. I can say that there will be two versions, one with g-10 and one with carbon fiber. Suggested retail prices will be as follows; $139.95 for the G10 version and $169.95 for the carbon fiber. Both will have flat ground S30V blades with the tear drop opening hole, ambidextrous tip up/down clip, nested radius ramp liner lock & eccentric
pivot. the profile has been enhanced by adding a choil and extra grip
serrations to the choil and blade spine.

now I know how Dexter feels! :D
