CPL legal carry of course. Blade length can be iffy in certain areas. Alas... Here are a pair of my current favs. Wilson combat CQB custom 1911 lightweight officers and a Microtech SOCOM Bravo. Both custom made.

The gun market and laws in my country are pretty bad. You Americans have no idea how much we envy you.

I carry one of these three. Ruger Security Six, GP-100 or SP-101. They are all very accurate, with pretty good actions (I shoot double action exclusively) and I can feed them a steady diet of stout reloads without fear.

I still don't have my concealed carry, just been lazy in getting it to the sheriff's office. Still I carry my gun, but with summer on he way I will not be able to holster carry anymore, but I'll see.

Gun is a Sig Sauer P232, and I really like the Sig sights as they make it faster to acquire your target. Knife shown is what I carried this past August through November, and is the ZT0600, a great knife, and one that is built to handle whatever you throw at it.

My current carry is between these two. The "smaller", definately a misnomer, is the Kizer Gingrich GTI, while the larger one is a Kizer Phantom Ki5401A2. Both are great knives.

Currently a Glock 30S, and a PM2. When going to church, it's either an XDS 3.3 .45, Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry, or a Kahr PM9, and one of my Dominos.

Is there a lot of crime in the area you live in?
No

Its funny that in the US most of the crime ridden area's are the hardest to get a concealed weapons permit at and often have very strict knife laws... you know because criminals like to follow the law:rolleyes:

For knife, it varies from day to day, most recent one is a Kershaw Kuro. As for gun, I don't carry a pistol with me, but if I were to get a CCL(I live in TX, it's not hard), I'd carry my Ruger LCR or my SIG P239. The SIG is my favorite of the firearms I own, but the Ruger is smaller and lighter, and that's a big plus for me. Unlike some people, I don't LIKE carrying around a ton of stuff with me, phone, wallet, keys(with a small LED flashlight), and knife are plenty for me, so if I were to add a gun to my carry list, I'd probably choose the Ruger for it's compactness.

Good choice. I did have a Ruger semi-auto (the small nine) but sold it.
My easiest carry piece is a Smith airweight .38 with Barami HipGrips.. That is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I've had this gun forever, and it just slides into my waistband whenever I leave the house. About 12 or 13 ounces. Sometimes, I forget I'm wearing it...as it is so light.

This is what I carry most often, although the knife rotates between the WH shown below, PM2, Sage 1, GEC Charlow, or Northwoods Madison Barlow. And I seldom go anywhere without a Case Peanut somewhere on me as well.

And for the record there is NOT a lot of crime in the area where I live. But wolves are everywhere and in every country regardless of the laws. It makes no sense for only the criminals to be carrying.

I only have a couple pistols, much more of a rifle guy myself. But my carry piece working is a Sig P226 and it is hands down the best pistol I've ever owned. And I've owned quite a few, only just kept a couple. My non work carry is also a Sig, an SP2022. Got it on sale at a local shop for a very good deal but not really expecting much from an inexpensive pistol- even if it is a Sig. I'll be darned if it hasn't really surprised me and turned into a great little gun. Goes real nice with my Southern Grinds Bad Monkey.

Glock 19 Gen 4 with Trijicon HD sights and a Spyderco Manix 2 (black G-10, steel liners, CPM S30V, and FFG as it should be, IMO ).

I ride my bicycle to church and really love this combination.

LC9 in a fanny pac and the extremely lightweight Pacific Salt in pocket.
