DAM, they are so beautiful

Just as an fyi, the distributor that we made these up for, is begging for another 500 pieces. It looks as if the original run came in and left in quick order, and they have dealers pounding on their door for more. We have agreed in doing another 500 for them, and the run will be out in Dec/Jan.

Don't know if this changes your mind from a collector's standpoint, but thought you all should know.
 
Just make the second run with some kind of mark so everyone will know I have an original. :D

They were talked about so much here, I knew they wouldn't last long.

Do a different handle or a PE Random Leek blade on the next run so we'll all need to get another one.
 
I like the blade as is... I'm just not too jazzed about the steel handle. But my brain is conflicted since I loved the price.
 
I too like the blade as it is. I have swapped the handle with a TI one, I was not crazy about the SS handle. The DAM/TI combo is awesome though. And now I have a SS/ZDP leek too. Win/Win.
 
Quite frankly I would buy another IF they used a different handle material. I would like to see the G10 as in the 1660G10.
 
Anyone know what the coating is on the blade? It really makes the detail stand out, and it seems pretty tough.

GOOD-now you guys will have lots of practice for the official blade forums knife -i think it will also be damascus;)
 
fyi-i just bought one(a damascus leek for those slow people like myself) from new graham ;)

Here is my DAM Leek - and my first DAM Bowie from Bear, up in Jax, AL (Alabama Damascus) - and yesterday's arrival - a custom 110 from Buck (Only 9 weeks!). At $100, the sale priced Bear Bowie is a 'buy' - if you need a sword. The DAM Leek was a bargain, compared to the Buck... that Bear Bowie, if measured in pound-o-DAM blade knife/buck was a bargain. I wonder how many of my Blurs could get very thick DAM blades from that Bear Bowie...

I placed a hold order in one online retailer that has been pretty helpful for me, and seems like it's one of the larger retailers (I'm not sure if BF etiquette prevents me from listing the name or not).

I can't wait tho :)
 
I thought I mentioned that another run of these Dam Leek's have shipped. 498 pieces I believe. Should be on the streets if not now, very soon.

Still looking. I have a standing order in at NGK; as of this morning, they haven't seen any. :( *sniff*

You did mention in a previous thread that 493 pieces had shipped.
I'm gonna be a pig, ya'll better keep your eyes open. I've started a Leek farm. :D

:DAlright! I finally found a place that has these in stock, and i just got an email saying both of the ones i ordered shipped today. I can't wait to get them considering these will be my first damascus knives. I already have plans to put one of the damascus blades on my leek with G-10 handles. I can't wait!!:D:thumbup:
